Romania, a country nestled in the heart of the Balkans and bordered by the Black Sea, now faces two major challenges of climate change. The growing lack of water in the south of the country, and conversely devastating floods in the east.

Cyprus is an island in the Mediterranean Sea, where there is frequent drought. The daily lives of the residents have been drastically changed by the water scarcity. Scientists and farmers are now developing new solutions to tackle the dry soil.
