Iris disagrees with others, questions consensus, which causes those around her to become unsupportive of her. She promises her boyfriend, Claude, that she'd be perfectly normal at the dinner party at his brother's house.

In search of inspiration for writing, Iris decides to visit Catherine's country house alone. But soon realises that Tom, Catherine's husband, is there too.

Catherine invites Iris to the 100th anniversary of the Théophile publishing house. Iris tries to make a good impression on the director, but in her desire to do well, she overdoes it.

Iris causes a stir at the party and piques Manuel's interest; Iris breaks up with Claude and realises she has feelings for Tom and finds an excuse to see him again.

It's the Christmas fair at school and Iris has to manage the children; Théophile's director loves the book and wants to see Iris right away; things aren't going well between Manuel and Iris.

Advised by Claude, Iris goes to Catherine's house to convince her to plead her case to Manuel. Catherine agrees, but is in a hurry because she and Tom are going to Oslo to celebrate Christmas.
