Elsa and Laurent are in love and live with their daughter Lucie in a village in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence; one morning, Elsa disappears while out jogging; the police discover how much she has been hiding from her family.

Laurent realises just how many grey areas there were in his wife's life; who was the man she went to meet at the hotel?; who is the child whose photo she had always kept?

With Elsa now suspected of murder, Laurent and Lucie fear the worst; Laurent receives a phone call and goes out to look for his wife without notifying the police.

Laurent gives Elsa 24 hours to prove to him that she's innocent; Lucie becomes closer to her grandmother, but she also seems to be hiding things from her.
