Like Hugo, Willem is staying at Cécile's farm on the Normandy coast. The healer of the village of Baligan soon discovers that Hugo has a strong magical connection with the runes. She asks him to find Baligan's cave.

Hugo and his friends learn about the interior of the Baligan cave where Loki is held. Hugo accidentally triggers a spell that turns Algythe into a wild boar.

Hugo's true identity threatens to be revealed as a portrait that proves his connection to Lady Néel is circulating. Hugo must do everything to protect himself.
