S2, E3: With Mitch back at school and Richie back at work, Alice decides it’s time to make a new friend: a mum-chum. After taking Lily for a check-up, Alice hits it off with Dr Julie Brennan (Ruth Bradley) and acquires a high status new friend. Julie comes as a package with her useless husband Colin (Robert Webb) – a man so inept that he has been barred him from having anything to do with the raising of his children.
