S8, E105: Police drama series. A case from 13 years earlier comes back to haunt Lewis when the forensic evidence used against serial killer Graham Lawrie is called into question. As an appeal is launched, Lewis fears the worst - but nothing can prepare him for the resumption of the original murders. While Lawrie remains locked up, PC Mark Travis is lured to an isolated location by a hoax call and takes a slater's hammer to the back of his skull. When forensics reveal that the murder weapon is the same hammer as was used 13 years ago, Hathaway and Maddox investigate the recommencement of the killer's brutal campaign.
