Come to Jesus

S2, E5: After Ben witnesses Mary help a terminal patient die, he finally comes to an understanding and appreciation for what she does and decides to cover for her. After a sobering heart to heart with Nicole, Mary realizes she’s been neglecting Jess for far too long and offers to take her out to her favourite restaurant. Despite herself, Jess is happy to be talking honestly with her mother, but just as Mary is about to “come out” to her daughter, a panicked call from Olivia pulls her away – she’s been shot by un unknown assailant and is in desperate need of Mary’s medical expertise. Tasked with bringing her back from the brink of death, Mary realizes that life is not sustainable with Olivia still in her orbit. Meanwhile, Des asks Nicole to put her name on the title of the “hospice” (death retreat) and pitches her on their plans for the future, while Ben faces a setback in his investigation into Olivia’s drug operation.
