In a twist to the conventional travelogue, Griff is set a challenge in each programme. In this programme, he is in Snowdonia where he must find a Snowdon lily - one of the rarest plants on the planet. He begins in Portmeirion, Clough Williams Ellis' glorious recreation of an Italian village. Seeking out the head gardener, he is told to head for the heart of the region and gets a lift on the old slate train. Along the way, he experiences the longest zip wire in Europe, and finds himself singing with one of the most successful male voice choirs - but does he find the elusive lily?
