S1, E1: Tom and Suze are both 19 and both dreaming of the future. When nuclear bombs start falling, they have sex. Unfortunately, they then survive. Eight years later, they are wandering the wasteland where England used to be. They're joined by Laura, the child they conceived on the night of nuclear war. They end up at a camp of survivors, run by Oscar - Suze's insufferable and now unhinged ex. Here it turns out that surviving a lack of food and water is merely the start of our heroes' problems.
