S1, E4: Series in which Griff Rhys Jones explores some of the most beautiful and enchanting parts of Wales. In this episode, he is on Anglesey and visits Ynys Gored Goch - a tiny island in the middle of the Menai Strait whose sole purpose is trapping fish. A message in a bottle tells him he has to find a puffin! Puffin Island seems the obvious place to look, but there is not a puffin in sight. They have all succumbed to rats. After stumbling across a salt factory, hitching a lift in an ancient Land Rover and joining a local cycling team, Griff arrives at the last working windmill in Anglesey - which was once known as the breadbasket of Wales. Finally, on an exposed crag near South Stack lighthouse, Griff spots his quarry - a solitary puffin.
