S1, E3: This third episode explores the challenges and delights of the Highlands - and in particular Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. This time Griff is instructed to find a golden eagle - not easy given there are only 400 pairs in the whole of the Scottish Highlands! Stuffed eagles and "Eagle" motor cars throw him off the scent for a while but then Griff encounters a real eyrie; an eagle's nest containing an extraordinary range of hastily devoured wildlife reminding him he's dealing with a carnivorous bird of prey. Griff takes to the air in a seaplane and scours the idyllic islands of Loch Lomond in search of his prey before finally coming face to face with one of the only two golden eagles in captivity.
