S1 E21: Isobel arrives in town and intimidates a shocked Alaric into arranging a meeting with Elena. Elena is horrified when she finally comes face to face with her birth mother, especially when Isobel tells her that she will stop at nothing to find the mysterious invention John Gilbert has been looking for. Meanwhile, Stefan, Damon and Bonnie step in to help Elena, but are they doing the right thing?
