Oakham to Cambridge
S6, E20: In Oakham in Rutland, Portillo learns about a noble tradition dating back to the Middle Ages and decides to take part. Heading east to Stamford, he discovers why the town is such an attractive location for period dramas, while a ghoulish scene greets him in Peterborough when he visits a Victorian operating theatre where railwaymen were treated. His last stop is Christ's College at Cambridge University, where he finds out about the student days of Charles Darwin.
