S1 E2: With pressure on Verloc to commit to the regime of terror, he arranges for Stevie to spend time out of London with Michaelis. On their way back to the city, Verloc travels with a home made explosive destined for the Greenwich Observatory. One fall leads the explosive to detonate and kill one of the men.
