S1, E2: After the Nazis occupied France in 1940, French Foreign Minister Laval developed a close relationship with Hitler and proposed that the two countries collaborate. Laval sent skilled workers to Germany in exchange for French prisoners of war. In 1943 Laval created The Milice, their role: to capture Jews and left-wing activist.
