Shadow of the Shadow

S2, E11: As the camera pans down to the base of one of the monastery’s rocky supports, we see a swirl of shadow Kairu fall from the air and land… then slowly begin to creep up the support from below! Later, Team Stax is in the midst of their latest quest. But just as they’re about to snag the energy… they run into the Radikor, who challenge them to a battle! After a bit of back and forth, Ky, Maya and Boomer are eventually victorious. Back at the monastery, we see the creeping shadow Kairu crest a wall. And just as Master Baoddai is about to show Team Tiro one of his fancy inner Kairu/water-levitating moves… the shadowy energy reaches Baoddai – completely sapping him of his energy! And as Baoddai falls to the ground helpless, the novice warriors look horrified. When Team Stax arrives home, there’s no one there. Or so they think. They eventually find Team Tiro hiding with a completely enervated Master Baoddai. Team Tiro can only tell Team Stax that they were attacked by an unseen force which seems to have drained Baoddai of his powers. Just then, Ky, Maya and Boomer come face to face with what’s causing all of this – shadow Kairu in the form of a dark, menacing, creeping misty shadow that is slowly consuming the entire monastery. And just as it did to Baoddai, it seems bent on draining energy from anything in its path. In the end, Ky is able to use a combination attack (Platinum Fire Blade) to fight back the shadow Kairu. Then all six of the warriors use their X-Readers to suck up all of the shadow Kairu – saving not only the monastery, but also restoring Baoddai’s powers. When shadow Kairu manipulates the mist at the monastery, the mysterious force drains Baoddai of his energy… and it’s up to Team Stax to stop it!
