Springtime for Diesel
S21, E1: Diesel the Diesel Shunter isn’t a very easy engine to be friends with. He is always bumping the other engines and laughing! One day, he shunts Daisy the highly sprung Diesel Railcar and thinks no more about it. When a rumour goes around that Daisy’s springs have finally sprung Diesel resents the implication that it is somehow his fault… even though it is! With Daisy resting in the Dieselworks Diesel confides in what he assumes to be a sleeping Daisy. He tells her he only bumped her to say hello – because he likes her. It’s Diesel’s way of trying to make friends. The next day it turns out that Daisy heard everything Diesel said! And she tells him that she is happy to be friends with him… as long as he doesn’t give her any more bumps!
