The Man in the Shadows

S3, E1: In dense woods a disguised man ties a heavy stone to the lifeless arm of a body by a lake. A short distance away Sid (Alex Price) snaps a twig as he tries to get a better look. Blade in hand, the man chases Sid who runs in front a passing car for help. The next day a newspaper report states that the death of local man Archie was an accident. Curious, Father Brown (Mark Williams) visits Archie’s friends – pregnant Marion (Florence Hall) and William (Christopher Webster). The priest decides to investigate where they work, using Lady Felicia (Nancy Carroll) to get them all inside Hugo’s (John Bett) manor house. Sid does some reconnaissance and discovers a secret intelligence centre, before he’s captured and incarcerated by Daniel (Daniel Flynn), an M15 officer known to Lady Felicia. To save him, Father Brown must discover just who Archie was and why he was murdered.
