Carlos Marques-Marcet’s debut is a take on the trials of long distance love which won five awards at Spain’s recent Malaga festival. Alexandra (Natalia Tena) and Sergi (David Verdaguer) are a couple living in Barcelona who put their plans to have a baby on hold in order for Alexandra to restart her photography career and move to Los Angeles after being offered an artistic residency. Although the couple remains connected through virtual communication, the lack of physical touch and a shared reality begins to drive them apart.Technology at once helps and hinders the connection between two far-apart lovers in this sensitive, moving drama.
