Afflicted

When Derek Lee is diagnosed with a life-threatening condition, he decides to embark on a worldwide backpacking adventure with his best friend Clif Prowse. After a wild night out in Paris, Derek takes the wrong girl home with him and gets viciously attacked. As Clif and Derek move on to Italy, Derek starts to develop some truly bizarre symptoms: a violent sun and food allergy, immense physical strength, superhuman speed, and a certain thirst… They are drawn into a violent nightmare – dealing with the inescapable realization that the impossible has just happened – Derek is becoming a vampire.
