After Life

A selection of newly deceased people come to a building to "register" wherein they are informed they have a short period to select one special memory. The "employees" will reenact the chosen memory, so the dead will bring it with them into the afterlife while forgetting everything else. Some think of their happy moment, some cannot decide, some make up their stories... Kore-eda Hirokazu looks into the serious topic of death with a gentle, warm touch.
