The life of a magazine editor takes an unexpected turn when his fiancee breaks up with him at their engagement party. Depressed, he quits his job, and starts writing a letter to his ex, which makes him decide to write a book on break-ups. Things get out of control when the book becomes a best-seller and his friends start to view him as some kind of relationship guru.
