High Crime
Vice-Commissioner Belli, the assistant chief inspector in Genoa, is investigating a series of crimes committed by a drug-running gang. He approaches the apparently reformed old-fashioned gangster Cafiero for information on the new gang in town, not knowing that Cafiero plans to take care of them himself. Belli's boss, Commissioner Aldo Scavino, takes a dossier to the DA on the possible Mafia connections of the gang but is murdered and the dossier is stolen. Belli takes over as Commissioner and fights on as his family is threatened by the criminals, before intercepting a deal in Marseilles where he may have a chance to avenge his boss and take down the underworld organisation.
