This remake of 1981’s Goodbye Pork Pie tracks the hilarious escapades of a trio of accidental outlaws as they travel the length of New Zealand, protesting conformity and chasing lost love, with a posse of cops and a media frenzy in pursuit. After running out on his own wedding Jon (Dean O’Gorman: The Hobbit) decides to drive cross country to win back the love of his life. He soon teams up with Luke, a young car thief in a freshly-nicked, bright orange MINI Cooper and a rebellious vegan fast food cashier. To add to Jon's romantic struggles, he and his two new mates become accidental outlaws on-the-run and soon have a frenzy of police and media hot on their tails.
