Leading Lady

In the search to find her dream career, Jodi (Katie McGrath, Jurassic World, Merlin) quits her mundane job in London and decides to try her luck at what she’s passionate about: acting. Facing increasing pressure from a hotshot director, she travels to South Africa, in order to prepare for the role of a lifetime as an Afrikaans war heroine. After a chance encounter with the handsome but stubborn Kobus (Bok van Blerk), she persuades him to help her immerse herself in the culture – but in return she reluctantly agrees to arrange the quirky annual town concert. By overcoming obstacles and learning to let herself go, Jodi quickly realises that there is more to life than Hollywood’s ‘Lights, camera, action!’, and that love can truly happen where you least expect it...
