The B-29 was one of the most sophisticated and expensive aircraft of its era. When several fell into Soviet hands, an overconfident United States never imagined the technology could be duplicated. But the Soviets were able to clone the B-29 and the United States suddenly faced the possibility that their own weapon would be used against them and deliver a deadly nuclear strike into Americans.
