Psychiatrist Cara Jessup's new patient Adam is showing all the signs of multiple personality disorder. Though her father, a fellow psychiatrist, supports the diagnosis, the sceptical shrink believes the condition to be no more than a fashionable fad. Investigating the case, she uncovers a shocking truth; each of Adam's `personalities' appears to be incarnations of real-life murder victims.
