That Thing You Do!

Comedy-drama written and directed by Tom Hanks, starring Tom Everett Scott as the drummer for a local pop band who become a one-hit wonder in the summer of 1964. Johnathan Schaech is splendid as the moody lead singer while Liv Tyler and Charlize Theron pop up in early roles. Like the theme tune, it's catchy and bursting with zip.
