Dr Michael Reynolds is a very successful and very rich oncologist. His latest patient is 16-year-old convicted murderer Brandon Monroe, a half-Cherokee gang member suffering from terminal cancer. Monroe manages to steal a gun and kidnap Reynolds, forcing him to drive to a lake on a Native American reservation in Arizona which Monroe believes has the power to cure his cancer.
