Whistle Down the Wind

The story of three children living on a remote farm. Their mother is dead and their father is too busy to care for them, so they amuse themselves by annoying Eddie, the farm hand. One night when he throws some kittens in the river, they rescue them and take them to the barn. Later that night they sneak into the barn to check on the kittens and encounter a haggard man who they believe must be Christ. But he is in fact a murderer on the run, and the children become suspicious when they find one of the kittens dead.
