The team are thrown into emergency mode when hackers infiltrate highly sensitive computer systems, causing chaos across the country. As traffic lights malfunction and bank balances are wiped out, the team try to find out who they are and what they want.

The Doctor takes Donna to her first alien world - the Ood-Sphere. But when they discover a dying Ood in the snowy wastes, it leads them to an industrial complex, where they discover some terrible truths about the human race and it's relationship with the native Ood.
