This season, contestants compete in teams in the ultimate David vs Goliath battle. In the first challenge, they must cook a dish which recognises their strengths.

The top 24 try to stand the heat in the kitchen, with 90 minutes and an open pantry to cook their dishes and impress the judges, focusing on hospitality.

The contestants battle it out in a mystery box challenge where they must create a dish using tiny ingredients. The three cooks who produce the worst dishes will be sent for a decisive pressure test.

The first elimination of the competition sees contestants in a two round challenge, where the maker of the best jaffle in round one is safe, but the maker of the least impressive dish that changed their life in round two will be sent home.

Twenty-six mystery boxes contain single ingredients that correspond with the letter on the box - chefs must cook using their designated ingredient, with the bottom four in danger.

Contestants must create a dish using ingredients from Marco Pierre White's array of common pantry items. The least impressive dish to emerge will see its creator eliminated from the competition.
