Alexandre Goyette

French-Canadian actor Alexandre Goyette paved his own path to stardom with his intense one-man drama "King Dave," which led to regular work on television and a film version of the play in 2016. After graduating from the Theatre School of Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe, Goyette launched his acting career on multiple fronts: he appeared in guest roles on the long-running French-Canadian drama "Providence" (Radio-Canada, 2005) and made his feature debut in the street racing feature "Nitro" (2007), and earned critical praise for his one-man stage show, "King Dave," about a gang member who commits a crime that changes his life. The success of the production granted him access to more substantive roles and projects, including the harrowing revenge drama "7 Days" (2010) for director Daniel Grou, a.k.a. Podz. He also earned two Gemini Award nominations for a recurring role on the drama "C.A." (CBC, 2006-2010) before moving into recurring roles on the crime series "19-2" (Radio Canada, 2011-) and "The Theory of K.O." (2014), a sitcom for Radio Canada. In 2015, he reunited with Grou to write and star in a film version of "King Dave" (2016).
