This season, contestants compete in teams in the ultimate David vs Goliath battle. In the first challenge, they must cook a dish which recognises their strengths.

The final two contestants must impress both the judges and chef Heston Blumenthal across the course of two scored rounds. The chef who prepares the best dishes will be crowned MasterChef 2022.

The contestants compete in an elimination challenge at Alla Wolf-Tasker's restaurant, Lake House, in Daylesford, Victoria where they have to recreate her summer cucumbers with Murray cod dish.

Teams need to create the perfect date night meal, including an entree, main and dessert, for 25 couples and the judges. The two teams with the least impressive menu head for elimination.

On day two, the room is set up for a massive service challenge. One team are at a clear advantage, with most of them well-versed in operating in commercial kitchens.
