Ben Robson

Viewers who first became acquainted with Ben Robson when he was wielding a sword on the historical series "Vikings" (History Channel, 2013-) may have assumed from his confident presence on screen that he had always planned to be an actor, but Robson actually found his start in acting comparatively late. Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Robson had never participated in school plays, and attended University of West of England in Bristol to earn a degree in business. It wasn't until he was 25 years old that the inspiration to become an actor struck him quite suddenly. Despite it being difficult to explain to friends and family, Robson flew to L.A. to study at the Stella Adler Academy, where he learned his craft and eventually appeared in stage productions like "The Goldilocks Effect." He landed his first professional film role in the movie "Dracula: The Dark Prince" (2013), appearing alongside veteran actor Jon Voight. He would next appear in the horror film "The Boy" (2016) before joining the cast of "Vikings" as Kalf. After appearing on the series for its entire second season, he moved on to co-star on the crime drama series "Animal Kingdom" (TNT, 2016-).
