Bibiana Beglau

Bibiana Beglau has worked as an actress in German film, TV, and theater for nearly 20 years, and won acclaim for her role as an exiled West German radical in the true-life story "The Legend of Rita." After graduating from a performing arts school in Hamburg, Beglau spent several years appearing in made-for-TV movies before being cast as Rita Vogt, who was based on real-life RAF radicalist Inge Viett. In addition to her continued stagework, Beglau has portrayed a suicidal woman in the 2001 ensemble film "Birthday," and starred in the World War II religious drama "The Ninth Day."
