It has been a week since the events of the full moon. Sally is on edge as the Reaper has not sought her out to "shred" her, but he appears to her to give her an ultimatum as he has found a loophole. Sally can either be reaped or become the new Reaper. Josh has been out of work for the past week, in a slump since the breakup with Nora. Aidan, however, has called in Emily to cheer Josh up. When Sally asks Aidan for advice on the Reaper, he suggests she shred him before he gets the chance to shred her. Emily plans Josh's recovery from the breakup, saying that the two of them should go out drinking.
