Charlie Bewley
Bewley impressed producers enough during his audition that he was cast as the vampire Demetri, the best vampire tracker in "The Twilight Saga's" mythology, described as having an olive complexion and dark hair. Far removed from the character's physical attributes, the pale-skinned and lanky actor nevertheless delivered an intense performance, capturing the darkness of the role, and ultimately winning over the franchise's rabid following. "New Moon" also gave the actor his first taste of fame. Thousands of fans chased him and his co-stars through the streets of a rustic Tuscan village while the movie was shooting on location in Montepulciano, Italy. "New Moon" shattered box office records, earning an estimated $26.3 million during its midnight opening alone. Before buzz on the film died down, Bewley reunited with the cast and crew to work on "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" (2010), the third film in the series. That same year, the actor starred in the independent drama, "Ecstasy," as a young man trying to avoid the trappings of the party/drug scene with the help of religion.
