After a woman claims that a poltergeist killed her husband, the team spend several nights in the house to see if spirits are truly killing from beyond the grave. They are aided by Thomas Edison and his latest invention, the Necrophone, a device which purportedly communicates with the dead. If it really works, can Doyle use it to stay in touch with his wife after she dies? Can Houdini contact his recently deceased mother and can Adelaide contact her dead husband to ask him about his involvement with the anarchists?

Hart takes a solo mission to track down the mentor who betrayed her, the team tries to locate her before it's too late.
