Edward Bond

Edward Bond was an English playwright, theatre director, poet, dramatic theorist and screenwriter. He was the author of some fifty plays, among them Saved, the production of which was instrumental in the abolition of theatre censorship in the UK. Other well-received works included Narrow Road to the Deep North, Lear, The Sea, The Fool, Restoration, and the War trilogy.
