Elena Campbell-Martinez

Elena Campbell-Martinez was an American actress who graduated from Rice University with a bachelor's in Spanish and Managerial Studies, and worked as a management consultant for nearly 15 years. She then moved to Guatemala to work as a social worker, where she rediscovered her love for theatre after six years in Antigua. In 2004, Campbell-Martinez made her television debut on an episode of the dramatized documentary show "North Mission Road" (truTV, 2003-07). She played a nurse, in a recurring role, for the long-running soap opera "Passions" (NBC, 1999-2008) from 2005 to 2007. Campbell-Martinez also played a one-off character, Maria, in a 2008 episode of "The Big Bang Theory" (CBS, 2007-), and returned for an episode in 2015. She made her film debut in "The Broken Hearts Club" (2009), and played a recurring character on a season of "All My Children" (ABC, 1970-2013). Campbell-Martinez played a judge on a 2013 episode of "Community" (NBC, 2009-15), and landed a role on an episode of "Modern Family" (ABC, 2009-). In 2015, she appeared in an episode of "Maron" (IFC, 2013-16), created by and starring her then-neighbor, comedian, actor, and podcaster Marc Maron. Campbell-Martinez landed a role in the Clint Eastwood film "The 15:17 to Paris" and joined the cast of "Vida" (Starz 2018-) in a recurring role in 2018.
