Jack looks into a woman from the killer's past, and Betty and Kent go to a club in search of a victim. Karen receives a job offer, and a menacing former flame tries to reconnect with Betty.

When Betty introduces Kent to her children, Jimmy endangers her relationship by blackmailing her. Jack and Paco continue their investigation and find evidence inside Kent's auto shop, and Jack and Diane explore their feelings for each other.

Jack and Paco identify Kent as the killer, Kent breaks up with Betty and the two try to conceal their identities. Karen receives an ominous phone call from Kent during a live television interview.
