George Costigan

George Costigan rose to fame as an actor, gracing the silver screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. Costigan began his acting career by participating in dramas like "The Sailor's Return" (1978) and "Bloody Kids" (1983) with Derrick O'Connor. He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Barchester Chronicles" (PBS, 1984). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties, appearing in "Monkey Boy" (1992) with John Lynch, "Safe" (1993) with Kate Hardie and "The Hawk" (1993) with Daryl Webster. He also appeared in the Joely Richardson drama "The Tribe" (1998). Recently, he continued to act in "Summer" (2008), the Matt Damon drama "Hereafter" (2010) and the documentary "The Arbor" (2011) with Manjinder Virk. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Doctor Who" (BBC, 2004-). Costigan most recently acted on "Happy Valley" (BBC 1, 2014-).
