Gwen Lee

Gwen Lee was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Gwen Lee started her acting career landing roles in such films as "Upstage" (1926), "Her Wild Oat" (1927) and "Twelve Miles Out" (1927). She also appeared in "Orchids and Ermine" (1927), "A Thief in the Dark" (1928) and "A Lady of Chance" (1928). Her film career continued throughout the twenties and the thirties in productions like the Norma Shearer dramatic adaptation "The Actress" (1928), the Conrad Nagel musical comedy "The Hollywood Revue of 1929" (1929) and "Untamed" (1929). She also appeared in "Lord Byron of Broadway" (1930). In the latter half of her career, she continued to act in "Paid" (1930), "The Galloping Ghost" (1931) and "The Lawless Woman" (1931). She also appeared in "Inspiration" (1931) and "Pagan Lady" (1931). Gwen Lee last acted in the Jean Carmen crime feature "Paroled From the Big House" (1938). Gwen Lee passed away in August 1961 at the age of 57.
