Brilliant photographer Paul Galesko plans to murder his domineering wife Frances, and pin the crime on an ex-convict named Alvin Deschler. Galesko's plan is to make it look as though Alvin kidnapped his wife and killed her.

Hassan Salah, first secretary of the Surian legation in Los Angeles, wants to see his country hold on to traditional ways. The young King of Suria, however, seems quite open to Western influences and ideas.
