Isolde Barth

Isolde Barth was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Barth began her acting career appearing in various films, such as the Liv Ullmann dramatic period piece "The Serpent's Egg" (1977), "Flocons d'Or" (1978) and "Despair" (1978). She also appeared in "Unter Verschluss" (1979), "Die Reinheit des Herzens" (1980) and "Querelle" (1982) with Brad Davis. She continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties, appearing in "Frevel" (1983), "Deutschlandlied" (1983) and "Die Frau Ohne Korper und der Projektionist" (1984). She also appeared in "Atherrausch" (1988). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "Pestalozzis Berg" (1989) with Gian Maria Volonte, the Hanna Schygulla period drama "The Marriage of Maria Braun" (1989) and the crime picture "Thousand Eyes" (1989) with Barbara Rudnik. She also appeared in "Malina" (1990) and the "Docteur M." (1990) film with Alan Bates. Barth most recently acted in the Benoît Magimel thrilling adaptation "The Bridesmaid" (2006).
