Jack McNaughton

Jack McNaughton was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. McNaughton found his beginnings in film with roles in "They Made Me a Fugitive" (1947), the Margaret Lockwood crime feature "Trent's Last Case" (1952) and "The Man With a Million" (1953). McNaughton next focused his career on film, appearing in "Father Brown" (1954) with Alec Guinness, the James Hayter comedy adventure "The Pickwick Papers" (1954) and the thrilling adaptation "The Purple Plain" (1955) with Gregory Peck. He also appeared in the Richard Attenborough comedy "Private's Progress" (1956), "The Camp on Blood Island" (1958) and the Diana Dors crime adaptation "Tread Softly Stranger" (1958). Later in his career, McNaughton acted in "Up the Creek!" (1958) with David Tomlinson. McNaughton passed away in February 1990 at the age of 85.
