Frasier and Niles desperately search for a wealthy patron to lend financial support for their failing former prep school. Their best hope appears to be an affluent matron - especially since Martin is involved with her.

Frasier accidentally destroys Martin's most cherished object, and Niles tries to teach Roz and Daphne how to play the piano.

Niles is suspected as an accomplice to murder when his ex-wife Maris uses his crossbow to kill her husband. Daphne is upset when Maris continually calls Niles from jail, and Frasier accidentally recommends that his brother be executed.

Frasier and his neighbour Cam attempt to put an end to their feud because of their parents' supposed love affair. Meanwhile, Niles tests out the Segway, an experimental new human transporter.

Frasier interviews numerous housekeepers and finally hires a less-than qualified applicant of Martin's choosing.

Frasier vows revenge after Bulldog plays a prank on him, and Daphne's mum wages war against a scorned trick-or-treater in a practical joke grudge match.
