Jamie Denbo

Denbo and Chaffin debuted their most famous characters, a pair of 50-ish Jewish mothers, in the TV movie "Ronna & Beverly" (Showtime 2009), co-written and produced by Denbo. Denbo continued to prove she could also do serious acting with a lead role in cult favorite crime drama "Terriers" (FX 2010) and a recurring role in the critically acclaimed "Weeds" (Showtime 2005-2012). However she never forgot her comedy roots playing a variety of characters on "Childrens Hospital" (Adult Swim 2010-) and "The Life & Times of Tim" (HBO 2008-2010) amongst others. 2011 saw the notorious Ronna & Beverly return hosting a series of podcast interviews with various celebs as well as a live stage show. Their comic personas meant they could ask far cheekier, often inappropriate, questions of their guests. This led to U.K. TV series "Ronna & Beverly" (Sky Atlantic 2012), in which various actors, singers and TV stars were grilled by the overbearing twosome for comic effect. By now Denbo was a regular guest star across the networks cropping up in fellow UCB vet Amy Poehler's sitcom "Parks & Recreation" (NBC 2009-), talk show parody "Comedy Bang! Bang!" (IFC 2012-) and the long-running animated hit "Family Guy" (Fox 1998-). Denbo and Chaffin stole several scenes as a pair of bickering Boston family members in the female-centric buddy cop comedy "The Heat" (2013) alongside Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy.
