It's the new versus the old, as the eight new chefs must face off with returning contestants. Splitting into two teams, they must battle for immunity.

In Guadalajara, Mexico, the three remaining chefs face off against the winner of "Last Chance Kitchen;" they must then create a dish using goat, and later must pair their own cocktail with a dish that incorporates the notes of a margarita.

The final two chefs face-off to serve the best meal of their lives, the finalists will cook a four-course progressive meal with the help of three sous chefs, comprised of two eliminated chefs and one from their restaurants back home.

The final four must cook impromptu dishes while giving instructions to a mystery partner. The elimination round challenges the contestants to prepare a dish that best represent their journey through Charleston.

Invited to dine at the home of a local Charleston chef, the contestants are challenged to create their own family styled feast.

Contestants are separated into two groups for a mise en place relay race. Then teams must create a radish themed seven-course meal to avoid elimination.
